Wang Qiong is a Chinese emerging independent documentary filmmaker and cinematographer now based in Philadelphia. Her debut feature film All About My Sisters was officially selected in the Bright Future section at International Film Festival Rotterdam 2021 and was picked by Asian Shadows and the dGenerate Collection at Icarus Films for distribution.
Ms. Wang is completing her MFA in Filmmaking from Temple University and was nominated by her department for the prestigious Princess Grace Award 2021. She is the winner of the Film and Media Arts-Motion Picture Scholarship Award and the School Summer Grant, and the recipient of the national Artist Relief Grant. She is currently working on her second and third feature-length documentaries Island and The Last Nail.
The DocYard is an award-winning film and discussion series at the Brattle Theatre in Cambridge, and which also sponsors special screenings and co-presentations throughout the year. Each screening is a new experience as we connect audiences directly with filmmakers exploring the documentary form through insightful post-screening discussions.
